I adopted a black lab named Church from Gun Dogz Rescue about 10 months ago, and it’s the best decision I’ve ever made. The bond I’ve formed with him is stronger than anything I’ve ever experienced with a dog (coming from someone who’s spent their entire life with dogs). Working with Pat at Gun Dogz made the entire process extremely easy, and he went above and beyond to make sure we were a good fit, before driving multiple days to hand over the dog himself. While Church was timid at first, he quickly took to our families routines and was more than enthusiastic about getting right into training. We’ve worked hard together, solidifying our bond through travel and training, and just last weekend he made his first ever retrieve on a duck during early teal season. I couldn’t be more grateful to have a dog like Church who, in less than a year, has truly become my best friend. Thank you to Pat and Gun Dogz Rescue for bringing a dog that has brought so much love and light into our home. We couldn’t be more grateful for the work they do, and couldn’t recommend them enough to anyone looking to give a dog a second chance at an amazing life.
